Where Scooter Braun Stands With His Most Famous Clients: A Guide

Ariana Grande

Grande joined SB Projects in 2013 and promptly released her debut album, Yours Truly. She has since dropped five more records, including 2020’s Positions. Grande briefly walked away from Braun’s label in 2019 after he allegedly interfered with her personal life.

“He definitely gets involved in his clients’ business and personal relationships,” a source exclusively told Us in July 2019 of Braun. “At one point, Ariana fired him because she had had it.”

A second insider explained that Grande decided to part ways with the talent manager “over a misunderstanding,” but they resumed their professional relationship six months later.

A source told Us in August 2023 that Grande dropped Braun as her manager after 10 years of working together. “They are friendly but she’s outgrown him and is excited to go in a different direction,” another insider close to the singer told Us. “Yes, there are negotiations happening because of contracts. But this is her choice. It’s time for something new.”

A separate insider told Us that same month that “Scooter’s team at SB Projects are still handling both Justin and Ariana as they work through what this new structure looks like” at Hybe. However, a source close to Grande denied those claims in August 2023, telling Us, “Ariana is leaving both Scooter and Hybe. Scooter’s team is spinning the story.”
